Chiruca Santiago GORE-TEX is a pair of hard-wearing and water-resistant hiking shoes with a synthetic upper and hydrophobic Cordura®. Reinforced toe area with rubber cover and lining in GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort. The shoes have a light and cushioning midsole in expanded phylon and a durable Vibram® Multifilm rubber outsole. GORE-TEX® Products with GORE-TEX® membrane offer maximum comfort and protection in various activities and weather conditions. The membrane is both waterproof and windproof while allowing the foot to breathe. This is made possible by micropores that are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor—which means that water cannot enter, but moisture from within can be vented out. Each membrane is thoroughly tested under extreme weather conditions. VIBRAM® sole A very durable sole with high resistance to abrasion. It provides good grip on challenging surfaces such as stone and rocks thanks to the specially developed rubber compound. In addition, the sole has excellent shock absorption that helps prevent tired or sore feet after long hikes. Easy to clean with lukewarm water and a brush.
